Starting a vending machine business with less than $2k.Ever since I discovered that most vending machines are owned by individuals rather than the businesses they reside in, I've always found them to be an interesting business. You can literally buy your own vending machines, make deals with business owners, and have an "automatic employee" selling goods for you 24/7 (that is, until they need a refill).

Here are more details on how Ramon van Meer bought and scaled this Paw Ramp company to $35 million in sales.

$1.3 million in revenue in just over 800 days as a SOLO founder. Justin Welsh runs a handful of one-person businesses including a boutique consulting company, courses for creators, a private community for entrepreneurs, and a mentorship program.

Pretty interesting to see how he built all these businesses by himself.

His journey basically goes like this: 

1. Started creating content on LinkedIn around topics he found interesting
2. Some content sucked, some of it stuck. He doubled down on what stuck.
3. He had experience building SaaS (software as a service) sales teams, and that's the type of content that was doing well. This is where his first consulting customers came from.
4. He found his niche.
5. Next, he 2x his rates, cut his workload in half and started focusing on ways to create more automated income.
6. Taking his consulting knowledge and common questions, he created a $50 info product and sold it on LinkedIn. Made over $10k in the first month.

Again, the path here is similar to many others. Service business -> selling knowledge in a package to automate income.

Find your niche and you can do the same thing. Just don't expect it to happen overnight.

It's super easy to use too. Select your country, search the product you want to buy, and then set a price alert. When your desired deal is available, you'll get an email. Easy as that.

🔮 Crypto: Crypto market cap stayed pretty flat this week, although I did notice this strange (and extreme) job when checking the total market cap this week...

As you can see, on October 26, the total market cap fell from ~2.6 trillion to $879 billion. Maybe a glitch?

Either way, Bitcoin was unable to continue past ATHs this week, but Ethereum and many other altcoins showed good returns.

• Squid game crypto jumps 75,000% in under a week. This should be surprising, but I feel like I've become numb to numbers like this. Which is worrying.
  

📈 Stocks: I don't have a summary for you this week as I'm ending work early on Friday, but here's an interesting (and sort of worrying) stat:

• The top 10% most wealthy Americans own 89% of all US stocks. The top 1% gained over $6.5 trillion in wealth during the pandemic. The bottom 90% gained just 1.2 trillion for perspective. (CNBC)

Crypto investment strategy that requires no luck or thought and produces great returns. This strategy involves investing $100 every month in the top 10 most traded cryptocurrencies at the time. 

So, with $100/month, you’d invest $10 in each of the top 10 cryptos by trading volume. If you had done this since 2014, according to the analysis, you’d have returns of over 10,000%. If you started in 2021, your returns so far would be 38% -- still not bad at all.
