Woo-Hoo - Day 7...already!

Let's jump straight into today's Pinterest Tip...

Actually, it's more of a question...

What is the BEST Way To Pin?

Is it best to "Live Pin" from your blog?

Or is it best to use the Pinterest "Create Pin" option and upload your pin image?

Out of those 2 options, I'm gonna be straight to the point with my answer (based on MY experience).

It does not matter.

A pin is going to "take" - or it's not.

I see NO difference in reach or impressions or clicks when pinning either way.

Now, there ARE other options to pin...

You can click the "Create Pin" option on Pinterest and, instead of Uploading your pin image, you can choose "Save From Site".

Have you tried THAT?

And of course, there is the "schedule" your pins option using a tool like Tailwind to auto-pin FOR you.

Me?

I do ALL of the above.

I'm not really a "set and forget" type of pinner - I am VERY hands on and like to mix up HOW I pin.

Does it matter?

Probably not - just how *I* do things.

There is only ONE thing I can see as a "positive" about uploading your pin image directly to Pinterest.

If you directly upload your pin, publish it and then go look at the BOARD where you pinned it, you will see a link to your profile underneath it.

That's good for your profile, I guess - internal links and exposure perhaps?

But I have not seen a bit of difference between ANY of the normal ways to pin to Pinterest.

If YOU have, I love to hear about it.

I could talk Pinterest all day so don't be shy =)

Actually, I have been ON Pinterest allllll dayyyyy...

I've been doing what I call a "Hybrid Blitz" for my pinning clients.

With these "tremors" of an update impending, I want to do the best I can for them to not only help revive their old, forgotten pins -

but also give Pinterest a fresh version to work with JUST IN CASE they decide they like NEW pins now more than older, established pins.

Speaking of My Pinning Service...

I had a few people email me today and ask me:

"What exactly do you DO for your pinning clients?"

Ah, if I told you THAT, I'd have to k....

JUST KIDDING!

First off, I do NOT log in to any client's Pinterest account...

and I do NOT log in to any client's blog.

I guess I'm more of an 'external' service.

I'm just the cool chick that makes cool pins for your stuff =)

(somewhere in this house, a pre-teen grandkid just spit her milk out hearing me call myself "cool" hahaha!)

Anyway...

When I first get a client, I "OnBoard" them...

We share a dashboard with details and updates and pin urls showing what I'm pinning and doing.

Then, I'll scroll through their Pinterest account and blog and look for things that stick out for me.

Either visually stick out - or stick out from a keyword perspective (because I am familiar with that keyword space).

I'll make some shiny new pins for that client with a unique tracking ID so they know which pin is sending them traffic.

Then -

and this is what I've been doing today for all weekend...

I'm doing a 'Hybrid Blitz' for my clients pins.

I'm using my own unique strategy to breath new life into old pins.

Plus, it's the end of the month, and ad revenue is YUCK, so why not send them all more TRAFFIC if I can to help offset the yucky ad earnings.

In short, I do for my clients EXACTLY what I do for my own blogs.

I'm just that rando cool chick pinning cool pins to YOUR blog.

Every pin is like a penny in a bucket...

Maybe not worth much TODAY, but give it time and let them add up.

Anyway, my Pinning Service Info page does not explain all that so thought I would explain it more clearly to YOU.

Hopefully it answers a lot of questions.

Ok, that's it for today's email.

As I said yesterday, we're taking the weekend off and we'll get back to our email chats on Monday.

Have a great weekend!

Jennifer

If you struggle with Pinterest...

I love me some Pinterest and would LOVE to pin for YOU!

Wouldn't it be nice to not WORRY about Pinterest?

But still get the traffic?

Oh yes it would!

Rather do it yourself?

There's NO ONE else I'd send you to =)

Missed an Email?

I'll be back Monday -

Jennifer
