The club have been running the Rising Stars programme since April 2018 and rider numbers grew steadily through the first four months to around 12 to 15 riders at each session.
However, in Lee Heron, we have only one qualified coach and as a result we cannot grow, or really continue, until we have more help and support from members. We know there is a lot of potential from enquiries we've had to develop youth cycling further within our club, but we need support from volunteers willing to become coaches.
We appreciate that this is to many a daunting step, so we hope the following will help any potential volunteers to understand the commitment required.
BSCC will pay for;
DBS Check, First Aid training and British Cycling Coaching Qualification
