Early this year we launched the Envoy Programme which is a network of good friends of NomadMania and local representatives around the world. 

There are over 40 Envoys now. Our representation was expanded by 8 recently:

Envoys host local events (among other responsibilities) in the areas of their jurisdiction. So, we're just reminding that you can always check out our Events Calendar and see what is happening where and participate as well.

The Main Event of 2025 

As you might already know from our previous newsletter, we are hosting the NomadMania Conference #5 in Fergana Valley, Uzbekistan  from May 25 - 29, 2025 (or until June 1 with an additional travel programme). 

We are expecting 100 participants and over two dozen places have already been taken within a week of our initial announcement. Therefore, we highly suggest you register within the next week if you are considering joining us; our reduced initial price is valid for another week or so, until August 15th.

We have already fully booked the best hotel in Fergana among other nice surprises!

We've been working tirelessly to bring you new updates and features to our website and the app. This week, we're excited to introduce a dedicated map for countries, regions, and DARE pages respectively.

NomadMania Meeting in NYC 🇺🇸

Our recent meeting in the Big Apple on July 27th was a resounding success!

Forty attendees gathered in NYC's Central Park, some familiar faces and many new ones. We even had travellers in attendance all the way from Washington DC, and as far away as Germany, Finland, the Philippines, and India!

We would like to thank everyone in attendance, particularly those from outside the region. A special shout out goes to: 

  • Mike and Angela Ballard, our Envoy Coordinators for North America and Caribbean; 
  • Alex Rivera, our Envoy for Eastern United States; 
  • Justine Kirby for helping us with on-the-ground logistics and getting the word out in the New York City area.

A Travel Book by a legendary UN Master

We are very happy to suggest a just released book by one of our legendary UN Masters originating in the United Kingdom, Lily West.

Many years in the making, her book has finally been self-published on Amazon with a foreword by our founder Harry Mitsidis. See our brief intro.

This is not a book about Lily’s journey to 193 or how she gradually visited every country. The book recounts one single trip and takes us back to 1972 when the young author attempted an overland trip to India.

A throwback to an era long gone, West goes East takes in places which are today among the world’s biggest hotspots, but back then were ordinary stops on the so-called hippie trail.
