Scouting America has 30 exclusive spots available for the 2025 Detroit Free Press Marathon (10 spots) and International Half Marathon (20 spots) on October 19, 2025! We are looking for dedicated runners who are excited to represent Scouting America, raise funds for a great cause, and have an unforgettable race day experience. Both races are SOLD OUT and the only way to secure a spot is by becoming a fundraiser.

How You Can Make a Difference:
Each runner is asked to raise $500—which is the approximate cost for one Scout to participate in Scouting programs. The funds you raise will directly support the next generation of Scouts.

2. Expectations:
• Register with the provided code once your spot is confirmed.
• Train, race, and have fun!
• Reach out to friends and family to help you raise $500 for Scouting.
• Example fundraising goals:
• 5 people donating $100
• 10 people donating $50
• 20 people donating $25
3. Resources & Support:
• Email and text message templates will be provided to make outreach easier.
