As we approach the final stages of the regional review process, we’ve taken a comprehensive look at what still needs to be addressed before releasing the last batch, which will be dedicated exclusively to China.

This current batch includes adjustments for several countries where changes had previously been postponed, as well as updates based on additional suggestions from the NomadMania community.

As always, we strive to align our decisions with the NomadMania Roadmap, the Optimal Score methodology and common sense. 

The countries affected in this batch are:

Countries receiving new regions:
Canada, Colombia, Cyprus, Greece, Indonesia, Netherlands, Syria.

Countries with internal border fixes:
Afghanistan, Croatia, Slovenia, Philippines, United Kingdom.

Poll results for new regions in Chile & Kiribati

Last week we asked you to vote on the possible creation of new NomadMania regions for Chile and Kiribati, based on their significant archipelagos: Juan Fernández and the Phoenix Islands respectively.

Following more than 300 votes, with an overwhelming majority voting against the change, neither of the archipelagos will be added as separate regions. They will, however, retain their current DARE status, as before.

In this piece, Andrea explores the country’s remarkably diverse regions, from the “Little Italy” atmosphere of Asmara with its distinctive Art Deco streets and vibrant café culture, to the remote and untouched beauty of the Dahlak Islands, where isolation, silence, and star-filled skies define the experience.

More Meetings Around The World

Four NomadMania meetings took place last week across the world: in Lilongwe (Malawi), Istanbul, Chicago, Vienna and Patras (Greece).

The meeting in Patras gathered 17 attendees, who jointly expressed support for additional regional recognition on the Greek mainland. A strong reminder of the vibrant and engaged community we are fortunate to have.
