William A. Peniston (PhD '97) has written - and Arcadia Publishing has published - Newark Museum of Art (Images of America) (2023). This is not a serious history of the institution, but it includes over 200 photographs, and it was a lot of fun to write. It is also the culmination of over 25 years of being the librarian and archivist (now emeritus) at the Newark Museum of Art.
Paul C. Rosier (PhD '98) Routledge Press recently published the volume Environmental Justice in North America, edited by Paul C. Rosier, who contributed an introductory chapter. The volume is noteworthy for including chapters on Canadian, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Hawaiian, and Alaskan Native environmental justice campaigns, in addition to chapters covering food justice, sustainability, and youth climate activism. In June 2023, Rosier presented a paper on “Decolonizing American Environmental Law" at the Institut des Ameriques Congrès biennal État de la recherche sur les Amériques conference in Lyon France.

David Wisner (PhD '93) In his capacity as Director of the Dukakis Center for Public Service at the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT), David Wisner recently commissioned a pan-Hellenic poll of voters aged 18-29 who voted in one or both Greek parliamentary elections in the summer of 2023. Dr. Wisner's analysis of the findings of the poll were written up on October 18 in Kathimerini English edition, the Greek insert to the International New York Times. Dr. Wisner and his research team are now conducting a poll of younger candidates who ran in local elections throughout Greece in October 2023. The two polls are part of a project called Barriers to Entry, conceived to understand the motivations of younger citizens and the obstacles they face when they seek to participate actively in the Greek political system.
