Florida State University and City of Tallahassee unveil sculpture celebrating city as Magnetic Capital of the World

A distinctive levitating sculpture was unveiled last week to celebrate the partnership between Florida State University and the City of Tallahassee and the city’s standing as a hub for high magnetic field research and technology. The art piece, affectionately nicknamed “Maggie,” will further establish Tallahassee as the Magnetic Capital of the World. Read more ...

Four FSU faculty named National Academy of Inventors Senior Members

Four Florida State University faculty members, Hoyong Chung, Yaacov Petscher, Prashant Singh, and Branko Stefanovic, have been named 2025 NAI Senior Members by the National Academy of Inventors. NAI Senior Members are active faculty, scientists and administrators with success in patents, licensing and commercialization and have produced technologies that have had real impact on the welfare of society.
