Just a few weeks into the second wave of the COVID pandemic, we are in the middle of the horror that's unfolding. India has registered almost 20 million cases. Within the company, almost 60% of the team as well as their families, have been directly affected by the virus.
Nothing had prepared us for the level of trauma and pain we have faced, both at an individual and company level. We have therefore decided to focus on recovering both physically and mentally. This means we will be taking a step back for a few weeks
We are continuing to work, but at a reduced capacity. Hence, there will be a delay in operations like communication, product development and sales. We will be allocating a part of our efforts in assisting COVID relief work. We hope you understand our stance, and stand with us.
Once we are healed, we will come back stronger as a team and deliver on targets as a company.
Supporting Our Team
A COVID framework has been developed to better support our teammates during this time:
Our insurance providers are covering COVID-related costs for each individual and two of their dependents. A doctor is also available on call.
Oximeters have been shipped to every single employee to monitor vitals.
COVID-specific leaves have been created that any employee can avail.
We will cover the cost of vaccinations for each member and two of their dependents.
Bi-weekly online check-in sessions for the team - to talk through anything and everything we are going through.
Here's how you can help
Right now, even a $100 dollar donation can go a long way in saving a life! In addition, here are a few simple suggestions on how you can contribute to COVID relief measures, courtesy of Mutual Aid India.
Other than the above, you can also visit this Google Doc to contribute to a whole range of relief efforts - from volunteering for mental health support, to providing dry rations.
Alternatively, we also encourage donating to the Hemkunt Foundation and their efforts in providing oxygen for COVID+ patients.
