In the July Nexus I mentioned that Shiftcam had introduced a line of seven professional quality lenses designed for cell phones. While I have never tried their lenses, I have used their ProGrip for iPhones and am very pleased with it.
This month they are having a 30% sale on lens bundles, as you can see in the photo of the complete kit. You can also create your own bundle of 3-5 lenses and receive 25% off.
If the idea of having an extended range of lenses for your cellphone intrigues you, this is a good opportunity to make it happen.

DEADLINE: September 10, 2023
Abstract art is art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of visual reality, but instead uses shapes, colors, forms, and gestural marks to achieve its effect.
This call is about images that are not instantly identified as that person, that thing, etc. It doesn't matter if you photograph something abstract or create the abstraction through photographic processes. Macro shots, close-ups of graffiti, fanciful post-processing manipulations or just photographing something at an angle that disguises it - they all work.
The New York Center for Photographic Art (NYC4PA) invites photographers worldwide to submit images using any photographic process (print, image transfer, emulsion transfer, encaustic, black and white, color, etc.).

The Alhambra in Granada
September 29 to October 8, 2023 Limited to 8 (3 spaces still available)
Andalusia is an autonomous region of hills, rivers, and farmland bordering Spain’s southern coast. The region has been under Roman, Visigoth, Moorish, and Spanish rule. The architecture and landmarks reflect all of these influences.
On our 10-day photography tour, we will visit and photograph four of the most enchanting cities in Andalusia, Granada, Cordoba, Seville, and Ronda. Our locations will include the Alcázar castle in Seville, Córdoba’s Mezquita Mosque-Cathedral, and Granada’s enchanted Alhambra palace. We will visit a horse ranch in Seville to photograph the famous Andalusian horses. We will visit the bullfighting mecca of Ronda and the famous Roman bridge that connects the two parts of the town across a chasm.
Our time together will include individual and group discussions, inspiring ideas, and great fun. There is no better location to express your creativity than Andalusia, Spain!
