Happy Tuesday,

It was a very big week for the Club, we farewelled 3 members - Jack, Haydn and Rachel, thank you to everyone who mucked in to help out and to our staff who did an amazing job!!

Wednesday Night we have Housie and Poker at 7:30 PM. Thursday brings our Membership draw, Raffles, Bistro Open, Believe it or not FREE QUIZ at 7:30 PM hosted by our own Manager Barry. Friday we have The Blueprint returning from 7 PM for another fantastic night! Sport on the Big screen. Saturday sees another Membership Draw & a chance to win cash, awesome Raffles and great sport on the Big Screen. Sunday the Pulse play at 4 PM this will be on the big screen!

Mother's Day is approaching so why not stay local and treat Mum or that special Mum figure in your life with a lovely High Tea. More information below.

A big hello to you all, it was with much pride I witnessed the way our club, it’s members and of course our staff conducted themselves in regards to the memorial services that were held at our club. Each of these were special in their own way. The support we have offered has been fantastic, so let’s continue that as part of what we pride ourselves in doing.

Wasn’t it great to see our club filled to the gunnels for Saturday nights must go membership draw, and congrats to the winners. Thanks must go out to Sue and Mark for running the show, also to Graeme for taking the photos, (please destroy any of the incriminating ones of myself).

I look forward to what’s instore for us this week and to catching up with you all.

On Friday 26th April we celebrated Jack's life here at the Club.

Jack's final wish was to be carried into the Club one last time so thank you to everyone who made that happen.

The first number out on Saturday Night was #134 G. Hulls who wasn't here. 

The Jackpotted amount was over $1600. The jackpot amount was then split into 4 equal amounts & member numbers were drawn until 4 winners were found.

Went down 8-13 to a strong Wainuiomata team

Player shout out to Charles and Anaru for 180’s

Jolly Rodgers –

Went down 3-18 to top of the table Savage from the Hutt

Player shout out to Helen for a 110 high start

Spear Chuckers and Skeleton Crew –

Played each other with Skeleton’s taking out the first game in fine form only to have the games turned upside down with Spears taking out the pairs games and going on to win the match.

Player shout outs to Mark from Skeleton Crew with a 100 high start. No shout out from Chris for Spear Chuckers, although he did say this: Was a fun game against a great team.

Either way, J’ville won.

No more home games until 27 July which will be the premier teams only – including our own Mutineers. Taking a break for this weekend, our next game is in the Hutt Valley on 11 May.

Results from Anzac Game

The Johnsonville Club beat Ohariu Golf Club. The scores were very ordinary due to the weather conditions being gale-force winds.

NZ DARTS
Club Member Rab T played Darts for NZ here is his write up:

I represented the RNZRSA in the Interdomion Darts against NSW & Victoria RSL's over the Easter weekend. To be selected to play in the tournament you must have served in the Armed forces, current serving or Police. NZ 1 went on to win the main event the Teams game held over nearly 2 days. I was also involved in the Test match which they picked 10 players to play against the top 5 of both NSW & Victoria. 8-7 NZ. (#881)
