Happy Summer!

We hope you all have had a great start to your summer! 

GP Kids started the summer off with a bang and had a blast at our Monumental VBS! We were so excited by how many kids were able to join us this year and can't wait to do it again next summer! 

HERE ARE A FEW THINGS HAPPENING IN OUR MINISTRY

Baptism at the Beach - August 7

Baptism at the Beach will be on August 7th! If you or your child would like to be baptized please reach out to Kirsten or Meredith for more information. 

Promotion Weekend & 2 Services - August 14

Our promotion weekend is on August 14th! If applicable, your child will move up to their new classroom on this weekend. This is also when all graduating 5th graders will move up to GPS with Pastor Adam.  In addition to promotion Sunday, on August 14 GP will begin offering two identical worship services. 

Along with the worship service, the following programming will be offered during each service:

9AM

• Nursery & Preschool classes
• Combined K-5th grade class in the multipurpose room
• High school class 

10:30AM

• Nursery & Preschool classes
• K-3rd grade class in the multipurpose room
• 4-5th grade class in the 4th & 5th grade room 
• Middle school class offered

Back to School Bash - August 14 (after the 10:30AM service)

We are excited to have another back to school bash this year! 

Join us for lunch and some outdoor activities to celebrate and encourage one another as the school year begins. 

MISSION POSSIBLE: A 5-WEEK SERIES ON THE LIFE OF PAUL

SERIES OVERVIEW:

Sometimes spies are called to go out on seemingly impossible missions. God has given each of us a mission – to tell the world about Jesus. Although it is a big job that may seem impossible at times, with God leading us, our mission cannot fail.

WEEK 1: JULY 3

This week, kids hear about when Saul was on a mission: to stop the Christians from telling people about Jesus. Then on the road to Damascus, Saul was blinded by a light and given a new mission: to go throughout the world and preach the name of Jesus.

• THE BIBLE: ACTS 9:1-19, Saul’s Conversion
• THE BIG IDEA: God has a mission for each of us.

WEEK 2: JULY 10

This week, kids hear about how some spies have very special skills that allow them to do seemingly impossible things. Paul also did quite a few impossible things, but it wasn’t because of his skills, it was by the power of God. When Paul healed a man with crippled feet, the people thought Paul was some sort of god. But Paul set the people straight: it was only through the power of Jesus that Paul was able to do any of the incredible things that he did.

• THE BIG IDEA: Everything we do should bring glory to God.

WEEK 3: JULY 17

This week, kids hear about how although Paul had hoped to go on a mission to Asia, God gave him new orders to go to Macedonia. Because he obeyed, Paul met Lydia, a powerful woman. When Lydia heard Paul’s message, she and all of her household put their faith in Jesus.

WEEK 4: JULY 24

WEEK 5: JULY 31 

This week, kids hear how some people were against Paul’s mission to tell the world about Jesus. Some of these people were able to have Paul and Silas arrested and thrown in jail. But Paul and Silas
never gave up on their mission; in the end, their jailer and all of his family put their faith in Jesus.
