Science tricks (#2)

Welcome to the second email from me. As promised, here's a trick you can make from a toilet roll tube. It will take you less than a minute to make but it's so much fun to play with. I'd love to see how you take the idea and expand upon it.

Maths Puzzle
I saw the following maths puzzle on Kyle Evans twitter feed and he's given permission to share it. Look at the numbers below and then figure out the last entry. Drop me an email with your answer.

Words on Wonder

I also want to share with you some excellent online resources to look up. The Words on Wonder project interviews a host of fascinating people (magicians, scientists, engineers, artists and philosophers) about their work and thoughts on being curious. There are over 100 people on the site including astronauts, underwater photographers and LEGO artists. Do check out www.wordsonwonder.com

I hope you have fun trying out these activities I'm sending over. Do let me know how you get on. I'd love to see photos and videos. Plus hear any suggestions for future emails. Do keep sharing these resources.
