A WORD IN DUE SEASON
by MaryAnn Diorio, PhD
Dear Friends,
October is a special month in the Diorio Family. It is the month of my husband's and my wedding anniversary. Number 51 this year, praise the Lord! :) It is also the month of our firstborn daughter's birthday and the month of our granddaughter's birthday. We have much to be thankful for this month.
And every month!
Not a day goes by that the Lord does not bless all of us in some way. Are you looking for the blessings?
Someone once said that we see what we are looking for. What are you looking for? Are you looking for the good things, or are you looking for the bad things? Are you looking for the problems, or are you looking for the solutions? Are you looking for the silver lining, or are you looking for the clouds?
Scripture tells us that as a person thinks in his heart (i.e., what a person looks for), so is he (Proverbs 23: 7). Let's be people who look only for those things that are true and noble and right and pure and lovely; only those things that are excellent and worthy of our admiration and praise, as we are commanded to do in Philippians 4: 8.
When we do, we will live happier lives. :)
Blessings,
MaryAnn
