The fall light has been breathtaking this past week.
Inspired by this, I am painting a series documenting outline, form and shadow.
I find it fascinating how elements vary in their visual ‘force' dependent on the time of day, or season.
The “ground stamp” of a long fall shadow or late afternoon backlit rock forms that reveal the clearest of dark outlines, these are what I see now.
In this series I am distilling these fleeting moments down to a visual truth I see in my mind.
