Viewers of our virtual cinema screening will get to cast a vote for their favorite films among an eclectic mix of genres representing several countries including France’s teen comedy JUMEAUX (TWINS) and Spain’s musical drama GENE'S 6TH SYMPHONY, alongside the U.S. horror FLIPPING.
From a little girl’s encounter with one of the most brutal killers in Colombia in MI ENCUENTRO CON SANGRE NEGRA (WHEN I MET SANGRE NEGRA), to a grieving restaurant owner who struggles to form a relationship with his son in Adam Chhour’s directorial debut A TASTE OF CHINA, our 2022 Short Film Slam: Round IV lineup features an eclectic mix of experimental, drama, biopic and documentary films with multicultural perspectives on themes such as astrology, rural living, family, the American dream, true love, cultural and generational gaps, drug use, abandonment, domestic violence, sickness and health, and more.
Tanya Huston’s comedy SUSPICION, about a woman who tries to catch her boyfriend cheating, will also be on view alongside Sajjad Shahhatami’s drama IDENTIBYE, Elizabeth Love’s documentary THE GIFT, Jonesy Moore and Tessa Zitter’s romantic comedy WHEN WE'RE THIRTY, Khachatur Vasilian’s HUMAN, Wu-Ching Chang’s animated MY GRANDMOTHER IS AN EGG, Judi Polanco’s documentary SHE SURVIVED and Shahab Naseri’s directorial debut LORAN.

LOCATION: The Madlab Post Virtual Screening Room. Once you purchase an “e-ticket” we will send you a link to view the films and participate in the private online screening within 24 hours. A voting ballot will also be sent to you electronically on the day of the show.
