Your Swindon Issue 37 - Tuesday, 30 July

Now that the schools have broken up and the summer is in full swing, you may be wondering how to keep the kids entertained for the next five weeks?

Luckily for you we have organised a number of events across the town for the whole family to enjoy.

Alice in Wonderland

On Friday (2 August) join Alice and the White Rabbit in a fantastical, larger-than-life musical brimming with nonsensical fun and excitement for the whole family.

Bring picnic blankets or low-back chairs and enjoy live theatre in the beautiful surroundings of Lydiard Park.

Learn STEM at STEAM

Until 1 September, children aged 3-15 can visit the STEAM museum for just £1 when accompanied by a paying adult, under 3s go free. STEAM will also be holding a number of drop-in events throughout the summer, like the Meccano Challenge Week on the 6-8 August.

Shake Up your summer

Change4Life and Disney have teamed up to bring new and exciting activities to help families stay active over the summer. Children can get involved in the 10-minute Shake Up games which count towards the 60 active minutes they need everyday. The games feature their favourite characters and stories from Disney and Pixar's Toy Story 4 and Incredibles 2, and Disney’s The Lion King and Frozen.
