Well, it might have come as a surprise to some, but not to others. Boris announced a second lockdown will come into force this Thursday which means that East Yorkshire's brilliant events, attractions and restaurants are having to close again for a whole month.

It might feel like a bit of a bummer, but we've still got loads of suggestions to keep you entertained and well-fed this week, and we've still got two days before it happens!

Some of our excellent local restaurants are offering some irresistible last minute deals before they close on Thursday, and there are still some events taking place. But PLEASE remember to be safe and responsible if you're going out today and tomorrow.

From Thursday, it's time to enjoy online events, streaming and take-aways so sit-back, get cosy and make the most of it! I know I will be.
