2022 IAF Council of Delegates Meeting

The meeting will be held from the 8th -14th of November 2022 and is centered on the town of Pińczów in the south of Poland, one and a half hours drive from Kraków airport, or two and a half from Warsaw. The nearest train station is at Busko Zdroj.

Attendees will need to make their own arrangements for transport from the airport. Car-hire is relatively inexpensive in Poland and cars may be shared for transportation to the hunting grounds.

Only IAF Board and Advisory Committee members, National Delegates and official Club Representatives, and Individual Subscribers may attend the actual Council of Delegates Meeting. Observers may attend at the invitation of the IAF President. Queries to info@iaf.org

Competition for artisan hood-makers

ADIHEX is the biggest event of its kind in the world, showcasing falconry, hunting and equestrianism. A number of competitions will be held there this year, with huge cash prizes.  There is one for the most beautiful and useful hood, open to every individual hood maker. You can send up to two hoods, but you must first register using the form at this link.

If you are not attending ADIHEX, you can send the hoods to V.Blontrock, Eversestraat, 132. B-1932 Zaventem, Belgium. We will bring them to Abu Dhabi for you. The deadline for registration is the 15th September 2022, and please send pictures of your hoods from front and back to blontrock@iaf.org

Of course, if you are coming to ADIHEX, you can bring your hoods in person to Abu Dhabi.

There will be opportunities to sell your hood there, if you give a price with it, or we can even put it on display for sale later in Brussels, at the HQ of the IAF.

From the Cape Falconry Club in South Africa

It is some years since the IAF visited South Africa and enjoyed the hospitality and superb quality of the falconers there. In the intervening years, some of us have made brief, informal visits and tasted the pleasures that were originally enjoyed in 2008.

Next year is a great opportunity, with this invitation from the Cape Falconry Club. If you would like to attend, please email secretary@capefalconryclub.co.za
