~Personal Update~

Greetings everyone!

Are you as excited for spring as I am? I always love that one freakishly warm day in March (usually before one last snowstorm as we approach April).

My last newsletter was about a month ago, and I'm sorry about the radio silence. It was due to a combination of one or several terrible stomach bugs, traveling for family events, and waiting for collaborators to complete their parts of some projects. However, I have 3 pieces of great news!

1. My newest corset pattern is in phase 2 - meaning the pattern drafting and prototyping is finished, and it's being tested in different sizes by some volunteers. I'm awaiting feedback from them before phase 3 which is grading the pattern into all sizes, figuring out how to create the master templates from (chipboard or plastic? Laser printing (💸💸💸) or cut by hand (🕑🕑🕑) try a cutting robot like a Cricut?). And then choosing fabrics, and finally release slated for later this year!

2. I'm working on a group project for the development of an app for another company and I've been waiting a few weeks for my collaborators to finish their part of the project. That was complete last weekend, and so I got started on my portion this week! I hope to be able to reveal the finished product in less than a month!

3. I also have separate volunteers testing out different materials and hardware for corsets, and am waiting for feedback before potentially using them in future products.

My patrons can look out for a more detailed update very soon and get sneak peeks on the new pattern (and the app, if I'm allowed!). I can't wait to share more about this when the time comes, but I should get back to work so that I have something to show for it!

Okay, it's not Kelly Green or clover related, but I think this shade of green is so gorgeous and still carries the spirit of green celebration for St. Patrick's day. It's a juicy vert with a delicious sheen, it's not really "powdery" but it's not too saturated either. Just the perfect balance of soft and vibrant.

I would cry with joy if a corset like this could be pattern-matched for a lovely spring mural on the body. With or without the matching, it is still so cheery!

"Flowers? For spring? Groundbreaking."

But no seriously, this is such a great colorway for late Feb / early March. It still carries a touch of romance for Valentine's day but an air of spring gardens as the weather starts to warm! It's a pretty pink without the cloying sweetness.
