As you may recall, my intrepid hubby and I bought a used RV back before this whole pandemic started.

We intended to use it to travel back to South Dakota to attend our 50th Class Reunion. (Yes, we were high school sweethearts—check out our Prom pic.)

Sadly, our reunion was cancelled, but since we’d already made plans to go with our awesome travel buddies, Fred and Colleen--and booked all of our campsites, we decided to brave it and follow through with our plans. Lake Poinsett, South Dakota, here we come!

Since I can’t count on decent WiFi along the way, I’ve decided to take a vacation from newsletters, too, for TWO weeks. But I will have SOOO many photos and videos to share when I get back!! I promise. So, please don’t forget about me while I’m gone. If you’re on social media, you might catch the occasional update on Instagram or Facebook. (They advise you never to discuss your travel plans on social media, but since we have a house-sitter for Jessie, I’m not worried.)

When I checked my calendar, I realized it was just a year ago that I climbed to the top of Jackass Rock with my sweet son, JP.

In case you missed it, here’s a video we made on the top.

INSIDERS IN THE KNOW, KNOW: 3 Things, 7 Dogs, & A Donkey

There’s a $10 gift card up for grabs and hopefully a smile or two.

Last week, instead of a normal Yes/No question, I requested your help picking Jade’s (heroine of ALL THE STARS IN MONTANA) wedding dress.

And the THREE winning names are:

Scarlet May – #3 (You won a signed copy of either MONTANA BLUEPRINT FOR LOVE or MEET ME IN MONTANA, please email me your snail mail addy).

AND the winners of this week’s $5 gift card from either Amazon or Starbucks are:

Suzanne Jane – #2
Rose Harness – #2

(Suzanne and Rose congrats. Please email me your pick of either a $5 Starbucks or a $5 Amazon gift card.)

(Winners who contact me after Saturday, Aug. 8,
will receive their prizes when I get back.)

THE WINNING DRESS (with just over half the vote) IS:

JADE AND I BOTH THANK YOU. She is busy planning her storybook wedding because deep down, as we all knew, she really wanted to BE Cinderella.

Stay safe, my friends. And one good way to do that is to socially distance behind a good book or eReader and read, read, read.

Next week: You know what they say: “See a wall and fill it.”
What? That’s not how it goes?

Try to tell that to my creative hubby, Paul. 😉
