Hello again,
Spring is slowly, but surely, emerging in this part of the world, and with it are fresh ideas and perspectives.
While around the world we grapple with what the next phase of life will look like, here, at CX by Design, we’ve been compelled to take the time to think more about, and practice, a central theme of our work: making the world around us more human.
In this vein, we spent much of the last month preparing for, and facilitating our multi-day, virtual workshop: Leave a Trail of Breadcrumbs: Designing Navigation with Customer Intentions. These sessions are a deep dive into our theory that rethinking how information is structured in our digital world will result in creating technology that works for humans, and not the other way around.
Making the world around us more human sounds like a daunting challenge, but we work hard to remember that each journey starts with a single step.
For businesses, that step could something as small as giving our employees, or ourselves, an extra hour or two of non-screen time to regenerate creative thinking.
In the world of digital information, it can be something as simple as thinking about user information flows in hexagons as opposed to boxes and arrows.
Or, it could be looking at the stressors and energy drains we put on our customers in this new, technology-first version of the world, and designing services and/or flows to reduce them.
Whatever the initial steps look like, we’re excited to use the HCD tools in our toolkit to continue meeting these challenges head-on!
Below, check out the roundup of some of the articles we've been reading in regards to making the world around us more people-friendly. We hope you enjoy them!
Cheers,
Lis Hubert, Founding Partner
