GEDC was proud to testify at the Senate Energy Hearing last week in favor of SB 1100. The Climate Union Jobs Act is the only energy bill under consideration that keeps Dresden Station and the rest of Illinois’ nuclear fleet open. There are multiple energy bills in Springfield, and we look forward to actively participating in the negotiating process to help our neighbors, friends, and familes keep their jobs. Dresden Station employs over 800 people with a $104 million payroll.
Grundy Vaccination Site
Open to All Illinois Residents
The mass vaccination site is still open in Morris. Appointments for the coming week are posted every Monday at www.grundyhealth.com. Please share the link with your employees and friends that are interested in getting vaccinated. It is convenient and quick!
Industrial real estate stays strong with growth driven by e-commerce, home goods, and food sectors. Procter and Gamble’s 1.3 million square is under construction on Rt. 47 in Morris. Amazon now occupies over 7 million square feet in neighboring Will County in 11 facilities.
Housing prices continue to rise as the market suffers from the lack of inventory.
Businesses are experiencing wage inflation as they struggle to fill employee vacancies.
Congrats and Thank you The GEDC would like to welcome the newly elected officials and thank all the elected officials leaving office for their service to Grundy County.
