"Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew [their] strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:30-31 NKJV

Eddie Robinson, Mount Olive Fort Lauderdale and Pastor Marcus Davidson sing an all time favorite gospel song entitled, “So Many Reasons to Rejoice!” The lyrics say in part, “He woke me up this morning. And He started me on my way. He gave me health and strength. Let me see another day. Oh yes. I have so many reasons to rejoice!” Our Church theme for 2025 is “A Year Of Healing!” And our scripture of focus is
2 Chronicles 7:14.
2 Chronicles 7:14 reads, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” The very same God who made us and set us free from sin and defeat is the very same God who will miraculously heal our land. Our “land” in our personal lives. Our “land” in our families. Our “land” in our churches, communities and so on.
God is the same, yesterday, today, and forevermore. And the way He responded to the cries of His people during Solomon’s days, is still the way He is faithful to respond to our cries for help.
He hears our prayers. He is faithful to forgive us when we humbly come before Him and confess our sin, admit our great need for Him, and turn from wrong. He promises to heal our land.
His whole character, who He is—Blessed Redeemer, Restorer, Healer, Savior—is a constant reminder to us that He will do what He says He will do. We don’t have to worry. We don’t have to struggle through life all on our own.
It is important to humble ourselves before God, to pray, to seek His face and to turn from our wicked ways. It’s good for us as individuals, as families and as churches. It’s essential for us to pray this over our lives, our communities and the world.
To God Be The Glory, for 2 Chronicles 7:14. It is and invitation and a promise to us. God hears our prayers! His power is limitless and reigns over all. He knows our needs. And there’s great power in uniting together, turning our hearts towards Him, and praying on behalf of our families, churches, communities, nation and world. Happy New Year!

Creamy Lemon Chicken Piccatta
A quick and easy one pot meal that is on the dinner table in 30 minutes! Tender breaded chicken in a creamy lemon sauce that the entire family will love!
Ingredients
4 whole Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup all purpose flour 2 Tablespoons Butter
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 cup chicken broth
2 whole Lemons
¾ Cup Heavy Cream
¼ cup capers
Chopped parsley, for garnish
1 pound Angel Hair Pasta
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. (If the chicken breasts are overly thick, pound them to be thinner.
Cooking time will be shorter.) Salt and pepper each side of the chicken breasts and dredge in the flour. Put the chicken breasts in the skillet. Cook for about 3 minutes on each side, or until it is cooked throughout and no longer pink. Remove from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- Turn the heat to medium low. Add broth, juice from both lemons, heavy cream, and capers. Bring the sauce to a boil and return to medium low heat. Test the sauce and season with salt and pepper as needed. Allow the sauce to cook and bubble for about 3 minutes.
- Serve the chicken over cooked pasta and spoon the sauce over both. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley.

FLU
Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death.
Flu shots are available at local pharmacies. Consult your physician regarding a flu vaccination.
RSV
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common, contagious virus that usually causes mild symptoms. In older adults and adults with certain underlying conditions, RSV can cause severe infections.
RSV shots are available at local pharmacies. Consult your physician regarding a RSV vaccination.
COVID-19
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention. Older people and those with underlying medical conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. Anyone can get sick with COVID-19 and become seriously ill or die at any age.
The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the disease and how the virus spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by staying at least 1 metre apart from others, wearing a properly fitted mask, and washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently. Get vaccinated when it’s your turn and follow local guidance.
The virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe. These particles range from larger respiratory droplets to smaller aerosols. It is important to practice respiratory etiquette, for example by coughing into a flexed elbow, and to stay home and self-isolate until you recover if you feel unwell.
Both COVID vaccines and Booster COVID vaccines are available at local pharmacies. Consult your physician regarding COVID vaccinations.
