There is magic to camping in winter. It is one of the most challenging outdoor adventures. However, potentially extreme weather conditions, cold temperatures, and unique hazards associated with outdoor winter activities require careful planning to ensure safety.
Looking ahead to the fall of 2023, our Council has gone all-in on a giant territory-wide camporee called MassJam. Mark it down on your calendars for Columbus Day Weekend October, 7-9 2023. We are preparing to send a Connecticut Rivers Council contingent to the National Jamboree in 2023! We have spots in both our female and male patrols. National Eagle Scout Scholarships - https://bit.ly/3udcMjc You’ve earned it! You are an Eagle Scout! For those Eagles who are college-age or will be entering college undergraduate studies or trade school full-time in 2023, consider applying for National Eagle Scout Association scholarships. Last year, NESA awarded more than $536,000 to members. The application window opened on December 1, 2022. All Scouts that have had their Eagle Boards of Review by January 24, 2023 are encouraged to apply before 11:59 PM CST on January 31, 2023.

The University of Scouting is much more than another training course. It is the largest single training event of the year within the Connecticut Rivers Council and is the place to improve your skills, increase your knowledge, and share ideas with nearly 200 of your fellow leaders.
