A warning has been issued by the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) regarding an attack which occurred on 6th February 2024, at 00:50 UTC, 57NM West of Al Hudaydah, Yemen.
The ship's captain noticed a small craft on the port side of his vessel. He reported a projectile was launched from this craft towards his vessel, passing over the deck and causing minor damage to the Bridge windows.
The vessel and crew are safe and are continuing on their planned route.
The source of this information is military and was issued on February 6, 2024, at 02:00 UTC. The incident is currently under investigation by the authorities.
Vessels are advised to proceed with caution in this area and report any suspicious activities to the UKMTO.
