JAKE'S ARTISAN SMALL BATCH LONDON DRY GIN

I’m delighted to be able to celebrate Jake’s Gin this month, owned and run by husband and wife team Edward and Julie May. Named after their dog, who has a lust for life and an infectious enthusiasm for all good things, Jake’s Gin was born in 2019 after a year of building their distillery and experimenting.

With 21 botanicals, Jake’s Gin is unique and delicious with spicy, floral and citrus sweet notes with a very smooth finish. Read more here

NEW DISHES

Our spring menu is going strong and we’re so happy that we’ve had some great feedback. If you haven’t tried it yet, come and check it out. Our food is comfort and everything you want it to be, think MSC Plaice Fillet with brown shrimps, paprika, caper butter and house chips; Wild Mushroom and Sheep’s Curd Bruschetta and the House Organic Burger is always a winner, served with pommes frites, Chimichurri rub, avocado and lime mayo with sweet & sour onions.

All sweet tooths cured with a range of tempting desserts; the Orange and Almond Pudding served with country cream ice cream is one of my current favourites.

LUSSMANNS & SEA PARTNERSHIP

To coincide with World Ocean’s Day (8th June), I’m proud to be supporting the Environmental Justice Foundation’s Save the Seas Campaign.

Between 8th June and 8th July, we’ll be raising money for this worthwhile charity who are working to protect our oceans and marine wildlife from plastic pollution and illegal fishing, by donating £1 from every fish dish from our specials menu to the charity.
