Last summer we conducted a survey asking you how we can better serve your travel needs in terms of developing NomadMania. And you primarily pushed for more engagement options inside the community.

So, we implemented a Location Sharing FeatureInternal Messaging System and significantly improved the mobile app. See all updates here.

Now, it’s time to take NomadMania to a NEW LEVEL :-)

Therefore, we’d like to ask your advice again :-)

Envoy of the Month – Kostiantyn Liorek

Travelling is more than just a pastime — it’s a way of life, a relentless pursuit of discovery, and a source of endless inspiration. Few embody this spirit as fully as Konstantin Liorek, a seasoned explorer whose journey spans decades and continents.

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, during the Soviet era, his fascination with the world began at an early age, fuelled by family trips and a deep love for geography.

In this interview, we dive into Kostiantyn’s remarkable travel experiences, the challenges and rewards of his unique travel style, and the emotions of completing 193-country goal.

We’ll also explore the evolving impact of being a Ukrainian traveller in today’s world and Kostiantyn’s role in the NomadMania community.

New UN Master - Mehraj Mahmudov

Huge congrats to our good friend and 11th ranked traveller on NomadMania, Mehraj Mahmudov, for completing his 193 UN country quest in Canada a few days ago.

Mehraj Mahmudov is the biggest Azerbaijani traveller, renowned for his extensive global explorations. His journeys have taken him around the globe several times, including four trips to Antarctica and one to the Arctic.

Here is our interview with Mehraj published in 2019 - it definitely has to be updated now. What an inspiration for the global travel community :-)

Nowruz in Turkmenistan

On March 20th many people across Central Asia, the Middle East, and the Caucasus  celebrate Nowruz, meaning “New Day,” which marks the arrival of spring and the vernal equinox, symbolising renewal, hope, and the triumph of good over evil.

To explore how this vibrant holiday is celebrated in Turkmenistan, we spoke to Akbabek Taganova, NomadMania Envoy for Central Asia, and the biggest Turkmen traveller known to us. Read the full article here.

Two NomadMania Meetings Last Weekend

Last weekend we hosted two NomadMania meetings on opposite sides of the Atlantic - in Oslo and Buenos Aires.

It was the second time in Oslo at Litteraturhuset, the cafe-bar where we met for the first meeting in December. Like the first one, it was an friendly, informal event with 18 NomadManians attending.

The evening in Buenos Aires was also a huge success. We hosted 6 of the Top 7 in Argentina's Nomadmania Ranking, plus Nico Pasquali (1st Argentinian to complete 193 UN).

Special thanks to our local envoys, Henry Tengelsen and Flor Vallejo for keeping the NomadMania spirit alive. See more events in our Calendar.
