Job Description:
The Marketing Department at the School of Business is hiring a rising senior (May 2024 graduation) as a Course Assistant. Duties include correcting case studies for several marketing courses (MKTG 3101, MKTG 3454, MKTG 3665). The role will require 8-10 hours per week from weeks 4 to 14 of the semester, and 6 hours of preparation time during week 2 of the semester. Total work hours for the semester will be approximately 100 hours. Note: this is primarily a remote position, with in-person access to the instructor for guidance when needed. The job requirements include the following:
- Reading and understanding case studies and attending training sessions.
- Grading case memos for 3 courses and providing detailed feedback to students.
- Answering student questions on graded cases via email communications.
Job Requirements: Course Assistants are expected to act responsibly, upholding the integrity of the course and university. Based on these responsibilities, the candidate must possess the following attributes:
- Flexibility and ability to handle concentrated workloads with a timely turnaround time.
- Strong time management skills – note the quick turnaround time required for grading.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to provide constructive, detailed feedback.
- Ability to mentor students while maintaining complete confidentiality.
- Ability to work individually and take the initiative as needed.
Credentials to Apply:
- Successful completion of MKTG 3101 and preferably MKTG 3454 or MKTG 3665 with a minimum grade of A- in each course.
- Proven academic success in other courses; minimum GPA of 3.2.
