Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
The U.S. Department of the Treasury has announced an extension for Tribal governments to submit funding requests for the Capital Projects Fund. All applications must now be submitted to Treasury by Friday, October 14, 2022. Treasury launched the Capital Projects Fund on September 20, 2021 and began accepting applications from Tribal Nations on October 1, 2021. Approximately $167,000 has been allocated to each Tribal Nation. These funds aim to assist Tribal Nations with critical capital projects that directly enable work, education, and health monitoring (including remote options) in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency. For more information on the Capital Projects Fund, please click here. To view the Capital Projects Fund for Tribal governments website and to find a link to apply, please click here.
This Alert is also a reminder that Tribal Nations and Tribally Designated Housing Entities may apply for reallocated Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) funds through Friday, August 19, 2022 by using the ERA Portal hosted by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. For more information, please visit Treasury’s ERA website or email EmergencyRentalAssistance@treasury.gov and include your ERA grantee number with any questions.
