The Central America Tourism Agency (CATA) makes available to international travelers the requirements to enter the countries of Central America and the Dominican Republic. |

BELIZE
Effective March 1, 2022, fully vaccinated travelers no longer require a negative COVID-19 test but must show proof of vaccination for entry into Belize's airport, land borders, or seaports. Foreign tourists entering the country must purchase travel insurance. If unable to show proof or if unvaccinated, the traveler must provide proof of a negative PCR result taken within 72 hours of arrival or a negative antigen rapid test taken within 48 hours of arrival to the country. The COVID-19 test is also administered at Philip Goldson Airport for a fee of USD $50 per passenger.

GUATEMALA
Travelers who enter the country by air or land must present any of the following two requirements: proof of vaccination against COVID-19 that has received a complete schedule of two doses or one, if applicable. The last dose must be administered a minimum of two weeks before starting the trip, this applies only to travelers over 12 years of age. If travelers do not have a card that certifies the complete vaccination series, they must present proof of a negative test, antigen or PCR, (nasopharyngeal and/or oropharyngeal swab, saliva sample only for PCR test) taken at a laboratory certified by the respective country, no more than three days prior to the trip.

EL SALVADOR
Effective November 17, 2021, El Salvador eliminated the sanitary requirements to enter the country. In other words, it is not necessary to present a vaccination card or a PCR test. However, it urges its visitors to continue to voluntarily comply with biosecurity measures. Still, each visitor must follow the entry requirements established by the countries where the flight makes a stopover, prior to their arrival in El Salvador. It is important that all visitors verify the immigration requirements necessary to enter El Salvador before starting their trip to avoid setbacks or unwanted episodes.

HONDURAS
Travelers who have a complete vaccination series against COVID-19 must present a vaccination card to the health authority. If the traveler is not vaccinated, they must present a negative test taken within 72 hours of arrival. The test can be a RT-PCR, Antigen, or Elisa. All persons must
pre-register electronically seven days in advance, indicating the date of entry into the country. Along with the pre-check, you must complete the epidemiological surveillance online form.

NICARAGUA
People who wish to visit Nicaragua, by air or land, must fill out an
online entry application form at least seven days before entering the country. Nicaragua requires travelers to present a negative result of the PCR test taken within a maximum of 72 hours before entering the country. The proof will be previously sent electronically to the airline that transports the traveler. For travelers coming from Asia, Africa, and Oceania, the test should not be taken more than 96 hours before arrival to the country. COSTA RICA
Entry into Costa Rica is permitted for tourists from all the countries of the world by air, land, and sea. Costa Rica does not request Coronavirus detection tests, nor does it issue confinement health orders when entering the country by air or land. Tourists must complete a digital HEALTH PASS form 72 hours before entering the country. The Health Pass is available at

. As of April 1, 2022, the Health Pass and travel insurance policy requirements will be eliminated for all individuals. However, a travel insurance policy is recommended to cover medical and accommodation expenses in case of COVID-19 infection.

PANAMÁ
Travelers will not have to present a negative COVID-19 test to enter the country as long as they can present a card or digital certification of a complete vaccination schedule, equal to or greater than 14 days after their last dose. Unvaccinated travelers or those with an incomplete vaccination schedule must present a negative COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken within 72 hours prior to their arrival in Panama. If it is not possible to present a test within the established period, the traveler must take a rapid COVID-19 test at the airport, which will be paid by the traveler, prior to passing through migration (Value USD $50). ALL travelers must present to the airline their complete
Affidavit of Health (in physical or digital form) before boarding to Panama. This Central American destination also makes PCR tests available to tourists for both entry and exit of travelers at the Tocumen International Airport.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Effective February 16, 2022, all the restrictive measures imposed by COVID-19 were suspended, and it is up to each individual to take their own measures to safeguard their health, to enjoy the island's tourism offer responsibly, but without restrictions. All passengers entering or leaving the Dominican Republic on commercial flights must complete the free electronic entry and exit form.
