Josh and Lindsay Wright did a Valentine’s Day Livestream!
Like Hewitt, they spent time talking about the pieces, but it’s more conversational, as Jonathan Levin from the Clayton Piano Festival actually interviews them. Even though it’s a conversation I wasn’t actively participating in, I still felt like I was a part of it.
Wigmore Hall has a lot of upcoming livestream events. They're not all piano, and they're not all music either. There are many chamber ensembles, which help me feel more connected as the few musicians connect with each other, and there've been occasional talks on poetry (musical words - kind of my thing!)
The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center has a Watch and Listen library – it’s also not all piano or musical performances either. I especially appreciate the masterclasses. Since they're free, you can learn a lot from masters of the art of piano!
If you search for livestream performances, you'll find a ton. Many individual artists have done livestreams from their homes on their own. And if you have any to add to the list, email me with any recommendations (or just to reach out for human connection - we all need it!)
Hope this list is helpful! Until next time,
Happy musicking!
