Hi ,
Happy October!
October signals the start of Black History Month and here in Hull we're marking the occasion with a variety of public events that celebrate the continued achievements and contributions of Black people across the country and around the world. Take a look how you can take part in our 'Events & What's On' section of the newsletter.
For Hullesnians across the city, October also means that Hull Fair is right around the corner. And alas, the fair kicks off this week and to make sure your journey is as smooth as possible, we've teamed up with East Yorkshire Buses to bring you all the transport information you'll need to get there (and back).
This week also sees National Poetry Day 2022 which aims to foster our love of language, showcase new voices, and promote the role verse can play in our lives. To celebrate, we've included a list of notable poets who hail from Hull - from Larkin to Vicky Foster.
If you're looking to eat out at one of Hull & East Yorkshire's delectable eateries this month, our local foodie Ben has searched around the web to find you the best restaurant offers to help you save some dough off your bill.
For those who spend their evening scrolling through Right Move (I'm guilty), our adopted Hullensian Liam has created a list of dream properties in the local area that are currently on the market to buy or rent - perfect for those who are planning on winning the lottery or just can't resist a property window shop.
And always we have our round-up of local news and this week's biggest and best events happening across the city.
Have a great week!
