Happy New Year, lovely readers!
I know you are busy busy people (these days, who isn't?) so this newsletter update is a quick one.
I'm still in the messy middle of Camp Castlewood and my grit-it-out plan to finish it in 2022 didn't happen because... well, life happened. Work, sick kids, sick employees, college kids coming and going, sports, managing the affairs of my parents (double dementia is a real treat, y'all), etc. Throw in making a merry Christmas for one and all and the messy middle that is life just flat out won.
Which is the point of my quick hello to all of you...
The messy middle IS life.
Maybe (probably) you're smarter than me and you've already learned that lesson. I hope so. It's taken me a while to learn the obvious, and even longer to give myself the grace and space to accept that it's ok to not do ALL-THE-THINGS! all at once.
It's ok to take the slower route, especially if it means you get to actually enjoy the journey. And isn't life, with all it's magical highs and gut-clenching lows, a journey with each of us the main character of our own epic stories?
So, fine readers, enjoy your journey. Don't be afraid of the mess. And this year, I hope you give yourself the gift of the grace and space you need to find room to breathe and peace in the moment.
Happy New Year!
