Might it be that come next year we won't Spring Forward/Fall Back again? I have to say I am in favor of "just pick a time and stick with it." Has the US Senate made the right choice in a permanent daylight saving time?

Hiking & Backpacking Pennsylvania Book of Faces group moderator Dustin Riehl posted the masthead with a note that as of his excursion (Wednesday) there was still four or five inches of snow/ice on the Tioga State Forest roads. Lots of melting going on, but it's good to be aware.

The annual recruitment of lifeguards for pools across the state park system is on and ongoing. Caledonia State Park alone has ten positions left to fill. Codorus, Little Buffalo, and Pine Grove also have positions listed on the PA jobs website. And I am sure every pool across the Commonwealth is in the same boat.

If you or yours are in a position to train as a lifeguard you will receive the gratitude of all those little faces who just hate when the pools can't open for the summer.

The latest addition to the PPFF news page from guest blogger Christian Alexandersen is pretty weird. Just goes to show that anything can happen when you're running at least a mile in every state park.
