Hello!
My name is Maddi Steimle, an Independent Living Specialist at Services for Independent Living. I wanted to reach out today to share program information for the Ohio Peer Mentorship Program.
Peer mentoring is a process through which a more experienced individual with disabilities encourages and assists a less experienced individual with disabilities to develop his or her potential within a shared area of interest to empower the individual and to enhance their self-determination.
The Ohio Peer Mentor program will train people with disabilities to provide peer support to other individuals with disabilities across Ohio. YOU can make a difference in someone's life! Training is done virtually, and you will get compensated!
The program is open to individuals ages 16 and up.
