As we began the regional changes process (see the Roadmap), many NomadMania members actively sent us their proposals — from adding new regions based on the guidelines to offering thoughtful revisions of internal borders. The level of engagement and expertise has been incredible.

Our Envoys have also begun hosting meetings around the world where participants discuss potential regional changes in their respective areas.

Recently, an important gathering took place in Bangkok, bringing together local Thai travellers, expats and nomads who were just passing through.

The main focus of the meeting was to review the regions of Thailand, as well as several neighbouring countries of the continental Southeast Asia.

*Hint: Vietnam and Cambodia have received new regions, while Thailand has been completely redesigned based on administrative, geographical, and cultural considerations.

Further Member Input Regional Changes

We are also happy to mention a few other countries where we are making changes based on member input. The countries are:

• No new regions but new borders: Latvia, Lithuania, Japan
• Plus one region: Canada, Denmark, Finland, Norway

In this article, we’re publishing updates to several countries based directly on member input.

The regional review process is proving to be one of the most collaborative initiatives we’ve undertaken at NomadMania.

What makes these updates especially meaningful is that they are not created in isolation — they are shaped by real knowledge, travel experience, and the local insight of our members around the world.

The above changes are already implemented on the NomadMania maps.
