For Roger, by Laura Drake
A heartbreaking, thought-provoking, high tension read. For Roger is a perfect book club choice, hitting on heavy themes around the right to die and whether those who help their loved ones with their wishes should be prosecuted.
Laura Drake takes on a topic that most authors wouldn’t be equipped to touch, and she does it with grace and humor.
An emotional read, it's also guaranteed to make you smile at the soulmate bond of love portrayed between Joan and Roger. Thoroughly recommend!

Neena Lee is Seeing Things, by Sheila Athens
A sweet, fun, enchanting read! With just the right notes of romance - and the ghost of John F. Kennedy, Jr!
I don’t often feel just delighted when reading, but that is the best word to describe my experience of reading Neena Lee is Seeing Things. A just delightful read!
I loved learning about a new area (Cumberland Island in Georgia), and local history with which I’m not familiar, but it’s Neena Lee as a character that sparked my imagination and kept me reading.

The Gardins of Edin, by Rosie Lee
A heart-warming page turner, that still makes you think.
Fans of TV shows like Succession, Dallas or Dynasty will appreciate this multi-generational tale where business meets personal, but with more realistic characters, and significantly more grown-up behavior.
Sure, there’s plenty of drama that kept me turning pages, but The Gardins of Edin is about grown-ups who value relationships and family and, when help is needed, turn to therapy and their faith. Read my full review.
