Happy Friday Friends!

"Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and cool things to check out!

This week I have been mostly delving deeper into my art life. I took a mandala workshop, and have been exploring different techniques around that, in addition to doing daily sketches. I'm hoping to get back into my paints soon (some of you may/may not know I am a painter)- as I feel like I have a lot of things brewing inside of me. I have also been continuing in my professional development program. I've had lots of interesting discoveries, and am beginning to do the work of pushing myself outside of my comfort zone in some areas. (*Stay tuned for more on that next week).  Anyway, I'm sharing a few sketches below in my weekly round-up. I would love to hear how YOU are doing, and how you have been keeping yourself occupied during quarantine life. So, feel free to send me a personal note or check-in!

Random stories, pictures, video highlights, and other life musings can be found on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week (when/if I end up posting anything).

*And, if you have missed any previous newsletters, feel free to check out the archive section on my website: HERE.

Continued prayers that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy out there 💗.

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Uitwaaien (verb): this Dutch word means to walk in the wind, but in the more figurative (and commonly used) sense, it means to take a brief break in the country side to clear one’s head.

  • ADVICE: “The quieter you become, the more you can hear."

  • MOOD MUSIC: Been getting lost in the soothing and relaxing sounds of one of my favorite groups, Moonchild, and their album, "Little Ghost", this week. It's one of those musical gifts that you can literally just hit play, and let the whole thing ride out.

  • QUARANTINE RECOMMENDATION: I randomly stumbled upon these quarantine brain teaser puzzles, and was entertained. So, I'd thought I'd share the fun with you. Let me know how long it takes you to solve them!

  • COOKERY MAGIC: Tabitha Brown is one of my ABSOLUTE FAVES, and a friend in my head. Her calming energy, sense of humor, inspirational talks, and creative vegan recipe shares always make me smile. Today, I am highlighting two quick recipe shares from her: Carrot Bacon and Jolly Rancher Grapes. Although I haven't been able to try these yet- she has me completely sold! Let me know if you're able to make either one, and what the outcome was for you!

  • LIFESTYLE TIP: Did you know that you may be improperly storing some of your food? I didn't either...but, I found this helpful share of ways to properly store food and to cause less waste super handy and helpful!

  • FEEL GOOD SHARE: This story of mother-daughter duo, Jan and Olivia Riggins, and their beautiful 3D chalk art that they create to inspire their community during these quarantined times gave me lots of smiles- and, I hope it gives them to you as well!

I love this graphic from Alex Elle.

It's a great capture of the duality that we can sometimes find ourselves in "this thing called, life." And, it's a great reminder to reflect on, as we to continue to push ourselves forward in these quarantined times and beyond- especially, when our emotions can be on a bit of a rollercoaster ride.

We can be; and, still...

This week's challenge is to think of a duality that you feel in your life, and give yourself permission to realize you are not alone.

My sincerest apologies for delaying the announcement of the next date for this!

However, if you know me personally, you also know I can't (and won't) do things "half-a$$". And, if my mood & energy aren't in the right place, that is exactly what this will be 😔. So, stay tuned for a future announcement of the future date- I promise it will be soon!

For those who haven't filled out the survey, I can definitely still use your feedback. So, if you have not done so already, please take  5 minutes to fill out:

Thanks sooooooo much in advance for your time!

***Totally disregard this part of the newsletter if you have already done this.

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!

*"The Cre8tive Life" is the weekly "feel good" component of my consultancy, The Cre8tive Artisan, which is where I "make the magic happen" and curate engaging lifestyle events that help connect us humans in deeper ways. Feel free to CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE to see what I do, and let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you out! As always, if this newsletter is "not your thing", please feel free to unsubscribe (however, I really hope you don't).
