It’s been wonderful to support staff from Action for Children, Enable and Fare with resources and training to name a few organisations. These insightful sessions have included lots of discussion around alcohol use in rural settings as well as looking at units and making safer choices. The AET films, discussion cards, quizzes, consequences and activities can be used on a one to one, small or large group setting with young people to raise alcohol, cannabis and substance use awareness, knowledge and resilience skills. The higher harm activities help address emerging misuse issues. Do email shona@alcoholeducationtrust.org
if these could be useful to you. Our work in Scotland is fully funded in most cases.
For schools, we have the wonderful Scottish 6 lessons mapped to guidance as well as worksheets, films, resources for children with additional learning needs as well as for older teenagers.
We highly recommend that you take advantage of the face to face training from Shona who can demonstrate the games and activities and help ensure the resources are implemented with confidence.
The workshops are interactive and engaging, receiving evaluation feedback such as :
"Shona was excellent at delivering this training. I found the information really useful and the resources and activities will be a big help in delivering this to young people."
"Interesting delivery, nicely paced, and friendly presenter."
"I found the training to be excellent and the resources and activities will be really useful."
