We wanted to let you know that we've reached out to the University with the following message:
With the end of term fast approaching, I wanted to check-in. I know last Monday, in the wee hours of the morning, we were told by your teams there was no mandate to move any further. In the interests of our students, I'm hopeful that that's no longer your stance, and you have a new deal to offer that meets our redlines. If so, we're ready and willing to meet.
The University has responded, indicating that they would also like to get back to the table.
It looks like we will resume bargaining this weekend.
While we hope to reach a deal over the weekend, the strike will continue until the Bargaining Teams have secured fair deals for both Units. We are ever grateful for your commitment to a fair deal and solidarity on the picket lines.
