Hi ,
Welcome back to another edition of What's On Weekly.
Developments have been a big part of the news this week as Hull City Council confirmed that Silver Streets' parking spaces will be transformed into outdoor seating for al fresco dining in an effort to support Hull's evening economy. The development will include fixed tables and benches separated by high-level planters for screening on the southern side of the street.
There is also a fresh appeal from Hull 4 Ukraine for donations towards the humanitarian aid effort. The cause is seeking dried and tinned food, as well as medication, baby products and food, warm children's clothing and toys. Please find more information here.
Spring officially bloomed over the weekend, and as the days/nights start to grow longer, we look forward to a new season of flavours and experiences. Our local foodie, Ben, has focused on the flavours and has scouted out some new fantastic eateries in the city that are more than worth checking out this spring.
And with spring comes the season's first national holiday; Mother's Day 2022. Yes the big day to celebrate mum is coming up this Sunday and we've got guide from Hull & East Yorkshire Mumbler with all the local places that are giving mums free admission as well as some fun classes and locations that will make mum's day.
Getting back to events, there's another action packed week of fantastic things to. Ian has put together a list of the unmissable events taking place across the city this week; including live comedy from Sarah Millican and Ed Gamble, live music from The Fratellis and The Mysterines, and Hessle Theatre Company bring the nation's favourite green ogre to life at Hull New Theatre.
Have a great week!
