Library Closings

In observance of Christmas and New Years, all locations of the Mercer County District Library in Celina, Chickasaw, Mendon, and St. Henry will be closed:

        - Tuesday, December 11th - All locations close at 5 pm
        - Monday, December 24th
        - Tuesday, December 25th
        - Monday, December 31 - Celina open 9 am - 12 pm
        - Tuesday, January 1st

Grinch Escape Room

Beat the Clock * Unlock Santa * Save Christmas! All ages are welcome and you may have up to 6 people in a group. Registrationis required. 

The Escape Room will be available multiple times between December 10th - 21st. See available times listed on registrationpage.

Family Night with Santa Claus!

Santa Claus is making a special trip from the North Pole on December 18th at 6:30 pm that you won't want to miss! Get your picture taken with Santa and you can make a special holiday craft. No Registration Required.

Appetizer Recipe Swap
Who doesn't love a night of pigging out on snacks? Decide on your absolute favorite appetizer recipe and bring it in for everyone to try. Bring in two copies of the recipe to share. Enjoy a night of sampling others favorite appetizers as well. Snacking begins at 6:30 on December 6th.

Book Talk with Mindy Hartings
Mindy Hartings will be at the library talking about her new book, Havoc of Ambrose, on Monday, December 10 at 6:30 pm. Her book is geared towards young adults. Books will be available for purchase and to be signed.

Homebound Services

The library offers Homebound services available to individuals in their homes or in nursing home facilities. If you are homebound or have a difficult time getting out, call our staff at 419-678-3128 to schedule items to be delivered to your home.

Pajama Holiday Movie Morning

Come in your pajamas and enjoy chocolate milk, donuts, and a movie with your friends and family. All ages are welcome! Movie begins at 9:30 am on December 8th.

Babies and Books Special Christmas Program

Join us for one of three different days for a special babies and books program, Christmas themed! The program will be the same each day. No registration is required. The times and dates are as follows: Monday, December 10 at 6:30 pm, Wednesday, December 12 at 10:00 am, or Thursday, December 13 at 6:30 pm. 

Book Talk with Julia Monnin

Julia is a speaker, spiritual Companion, and author of the book, The World is Noisy - God Whispers, a spiritual memoir. Julia will be speaking on her book, have a Q&A session, and sign books for anyone that would like. FREE books will be given to the first 10 attendees! No registration is needed for this book talk hosted on Tuesday, December 4 at 6:30 pm.
