I want to start off this newsletter by thanking those of you who have read/shared/and supported me and my books. I love to write, and I will continue to write for as long as I can. But I won't be online much anymore.
To be completely transparent, my anxiety and mental health haven't allowed me to enjoy much of anything recently. I've also had some family stuff happening over the last five years that I haven't shared, including my father's Dementia diagnosis. On top of that, if you're read The Tragedy of Felix and Jake, you know I mention that story being personal to me. If you could, imagine me as CJ, that will basically sum up my connection to addiction and alcoholism.
I'd love to say my reality of recovery mirrors what I've written, but it has not.
I'm going to be taking a big step back from social media beginning now. When I have a new book to announce, or a sale, or something wonderful happening, I will share it with everyone. But I won't be online to post often or answer DMs, or to respond to posts, so please don't take it personal. I need to do this for me.
I've also discounted my self published books to 60% off on all retailers.
I want every single reader to be able to read any book of mine they wish to read, and I realize how expensive life has become. It's unfair, and I don't want to contribute to that.
Thank you for being my readers. It's meant everything to me.
See you when I see you,
Jessica <3
