Understanding and Addressing Problem Gambling in Older Adults

This 2-hour virtual workshop will provide an overview of problem gambling in older adults. Participants will learn why older adults are at risk for developing gambling challenges and warning signs of problem gambling in older adults. Facilitators will specifically discuss how to screen for gambling challenges in older adults and treatment options for older adults with gambling disorder. Participants will discuss the importance of responsible gambling strategies and how to incorporate responsible gambling techniques into their work with older adults. This training is targeted towards professionals who work with older adults, including substance use service providers, social workers, healthcare providers, and activities coordinators. The training will be interactive and will include a mix of lecture, discussion, and activities.

Participants will receive a MCBAP Certificate of Attendance noting 2 MCBAP Related CEUs.

• All FSRs and Recovery Housing invoices are to be submitted by the 10th of each month for your previous month’s expenses.

The CMHPSM and our regional CMHSP partners continue to enhance the clinical functionality and improve the user experience within CRCT (pronounced "cricket"), which is our electronic health record (EHR). During Q1 of FY25 (October 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024), 14 new CRCT updates were completed.

• Additional Guardian Relationships identifiers in Contacts sections of documentation.
• Data field added to documentation indicating if ICCS was offered.
• Quick phrase option to Assessment Diagnostic Formula section on Medical Review and Psych Eval.

• FY25 BH-TEDS field corrections as directed by MDHHS.
• External Referral Documentation and logic.
• Additional signature lines(s) added to group progress note.
• Presenting problems page added to second opinion Bio Psychosocial Documentation.
• Appointment and calendar optimizations.

• Increased accessibility to AHCM-Health Social Needs Screening Tool.

External Provider Enhancements

• MichiCANS Stand-alone form made accessible to the Contracted Clinical Provider User Group.

CMHSP & PIHP- Finance Enhancements

• Enhancements to Service Activity Log overlap logic.
• Crosswalk updates to add new modifiers and CPT codes as indicated through the MDHHS BH Code Chart.
• Encounter Resubmission to support MDHHS programming error.
