Like acrobats in the sky, dragonflies are dazzling to watch. They fly at ridiculous speeds, sometimes upside down. They make sharp 360° turns, and then hover in place, and even fly backwards! Damselflies and dragonflies depend on clean freshwater bodies for their life cycle, so their presence has become synonymous with healthy ecosystems.
