In The Verbatim Formula project, care-experienced people share testimonies on the crucial importance of the arts and creativity in their lives.
As care-experienced researchers we use performance, spoken word, digital music, singing and beatboxing, photography, poetry and visual arts.
Join us for our event, where you will experience a TVF performance. We will also launch part of our Creative Care resource, which is aimed at sharing some of our approaches and methods with Children and Care Councils, supporting creativity and conversation with care-experienced young people.

Why is creativity important to us?
How do we care for creativity?
We care about the huge decline in young people’s access to the arts in the last decades. We care that fewer students are given the opportunity to take school subjects such as Drama, Music, and Art and Design.
We care that during the cost of living crisis, many extracurricular arts activities have become too expensive for many people to afford.
It’s time for change.

The Verbatim Formula works with People's Palace Projects using performance research to explore and advocate for arts and social justice. We bring together care-experienced young people as artists and co-researchers.
The project is based at Queen Mary University of London and the Central School of Speech and Drama.
