15 December

This Sunday

"Small Miracles"
"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." Miracles are all around us if we care to look. Rev. Aileen will explore the possibility of looking at the world as though everything is a miracle. The service will include the baby dedication of Evie Roche Lynch and Thomas Lorenz.

Religious Education

This week is all about the awe we feel when we look at the stars. Children in RE will explore the cosmos today through star and universe related stories and crafts. The Middle School group will also be meeting today during the service.

Message from Rev. Aileen

A lot of things are possible but not everything is probable. The miracle of birth is not really a mystery. We know the biological mechanism that allows it to happen. But not every woman cannot conceive easily. So when a child is born, it can seem like a miracle. And the birth of each child, in their particularity, is special and sacred because there will never be another person just like that child. Miracles can be things that are impossible but they can also be those instances where we make the improbable, possible.
