October was gone in a blink, and I would imagine that November will be no different, especially since I am participating in NaNoWriMo this year. For my non-writer friends, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, which is when writers all over the world commit to finishing a novel in the month of November. I decided I would use this month for wrapping up a few projects that I have been kicking around, and have committed to starting the next Goddess book which will feature Athena. I believe Arachne won't be far behind, so it should be fun getting those stories rolling.
My trip to the Old State Asylum in Traverse City was a great success, and I took a ton of notes and pictures for my research. We had an amazing tour guide who was very familiar with the property and added her own personal experiences to the already fascinating stories. We also toured the Mari Vineyards, which was an equally amazing experience. Anyone who is interested in seeing some pictures can head over to my Instagram at the link below. You will also see some composites of my most recent writer's retreat in Sarasota, FL.
I have started the office remodel, and still have tons to do, including finding a larger bookcase to house all of my books. I am excited to finally have all my books out of storage, but shelving them is going to be a whole other story. I am happy to report that all of my Stephen King books are finally home where they belong, and I hope to share some photos by the end of the year of my completed project... stay tuned!
I am doing a few local author events and presentations, so things are starting to open up in our part of the world. It is such a welcome change and I hope that this email finds you able to meet with family and friends once more as well.
If you are in town, be sure to stop by and say hello. For anyone interested in ordering signed copies of my books, you can follow the link to my Google order form or check out my Books 2 Read page here: https://books2read.com/ap/xXG1...
Sea of Dreams is available for the Month of November as a free download, so if you haven't started the series yet, here is your chance! If you have read the series and liked it, there are other authors in this promotion you may want to check out.
The promotion details can be found below and includes other Paranormal and Sci-Fi romances that may interest you or someone you know.
After the Local Author Showcase things should start slowing down for me just in time for the holidays. I plan to stick closer to home and wrap up a number of projects that I have cooking.
The office remodel will most likely be finished by Christmas, just in time to start the New Year out right! I also plan on having Athena's story drafted by then and it is my hope that 2022 will be a year of publishing for me!
My TBR currently has quite a few books I am excited to dive into:
Bits & Pieces by Dawn Hosmer
Firekeepers Daughter by Angeline Boulley
The Wrath & The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
Hope you have some great reads on your TBR as well! Hope you stay healthy and safe! Happy Reading! XO
