Holy Cow! Where has this year gone?
October was gone in a blink, and I would imagine that November will be no different, especially since I am participating in NaNoWriMo this year. For my non-writer friends, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, which is when writers all over the world commit to finishing a novel in the month of November. I decided I would use this month for wrapping up a few projects that I have been kicking around, and have committed to starting the next Goddess book which will feature Athena. I believe Arachne won't be far behind, so it should be fun getting those stories rolling.
My trip to the Old State Asylum in Traverse City was a great success, and I took a ton of notes and pictures for my research. We had an amazing tour guide who was very familiar with the property and added her own personal experiences to the already fascinating stories. We also toured the Mari Vineyards, which was an equally amazing experience. Anyone who is interested in seeing some pictures can head over to my Instagram at the link below. You will also see some composites of my most recent writer's retreat in Sarasota, FL.
I have started the office remodel, and still have tons to do, including finding a larger bookcase to house all of my books. I am excited to finally have all my books out of storage, but shelving them is going to be a whole other story. I am happy to report that all of my Stephen King books are finally home where they belong, and I hope to share some photos by the end of the year of my completed project... stay tuned!
I am doing a few local author events and presentations, so things are starting to open up in our part of the world. It is such a welcome change and I hope that this email finds you able to meet with family and friends once more as well.
XO
