Sometimes (often!) I just don't know what to eat. Instead of nibbling at 22 unsatisfying things (chocolate, curry chips, and a peach do not a meal make) at my desk all afternoon, I remind myself to eat a full lunch which, when I'm feeling ugh-y, isn't easy. So I find some fun in choosing a variety of little things that can go together to make a lot of varied and delightful mouthfuls.
Fresh and/or cooked veggies
Cheese (vegan or not—pictured here is a delicious, creamy, vegan feta)
Pickles, olives, and/or other flavourful bits and pieces
Something bread-like (crackers will do, or even noodles)
Condiments, sauces, and/or dips
Make a bunch of heaps on a plate, have some little dips and sauces in nice bowls, and off you go. A good book adds to the experience.
